ICRD prioritizes socially responsible initiatives by actively engaging in community development projects aimed at empowering marginalized groups and fostering sustainable practices. Through partnerships with local organizations, ICRD implements initiatives focusing on education, healthcare, and environmental conservation in the regions where its conferences are held. By integrating social responsibility into its operations, ICRD demonstrates its commitment to making a positive impact beyond the realm of research and development.

WOMEN LEAD PROGRAM
"Women Lead" - An empowerment of young girls in rural areas
PROGRAM CONTENTS: Personality development, Financial literacy, Life coaching, Internet technology, Manage with men, Employment/ entrepreneur prospects and links.

PIYAWARA- SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION – KANDY, SRI LANKA
PIYAWARA (Steps) is a non-profit, community-based organization in Kandy District, Sri Lanka working to uplift the living standards of vulnerable communities. An estimated 6.3 million people in Sri Lanka are facing moderate to severe acute food insecurity and their situation is expected to worsen if adequate life-saving assistance and livelihood support is not provided (FAO Report). ICRD supports PIYAWARA to implement two field projects namely "Home Garden Agriculture" and "Food for Living".
